Vallen is a leading provider of indirect industrial supplies – all those materials that are not part of the products our customers manufacture.

From earplugs to hand tools, to abrasives and cutting tools, we cover the vast majority of our customers’ maintenance, repair, operations and production-related needs. Vallen is also a leader in technical services with offerings that include safety equipment inspection, maintenance, certification and solution design.

Many of our customers look to us for integrated supply solutions and vendor managed inventory, with Vallen associates on-site, bringing local knowledge and expertise to the specific needs of individual facilities.

Vallen’s SALUTE

SALUTE is Vallen’s employee resource group focused on serving veterans, disabled veterans, and non-veterans through Support, Attention, Learning, Unity, Training, and Enlistment. Giving Back

Vallen Cares is our community engagement and outreach initiative. It encompasses our associates’ volunteer efforts, charitable giving, sustainability programs, corporate social responsibility, and team activities to build relationships and a spirit of camaraderie. Vallen Cares efforts are guided by an advisory council and led by associate champions throughout our locations. Our mission is to demonstrate care and concern for our community, our associates, our customer and supplier partners, and our environment.

Health and Safety

Vallen’s Safety Program has had its highest objective the prevention and reduction of the number of associate injuries, illnesses, and property damage as a result of accidents in the workplace. Safety is a daily responsibility and collectively we are committed to eliminating workplace accidents by educating workers to be proactive using situational awareness, critical thinking, and hazard recognition. This program is also responsible for applying applicable federal, state and local regulations and for considering proposed legislation from the U.S. Occupational Health and Safety Administration, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and the U.S. Department of Transportation.

Safety Training & Culture

We are committed to protecting the safety of our employees through safety training and other measures. We conduct regular safety inspections across our portfolio to help ensure Vallen is maintaining a safe work environment for all employees, including a review of Vallen’s procedures for hazardous material handling, fire safety, ladders, moving and lifting, as well as driver safety and emergency preparedness training.

Environmental Commitment

Vallen is committed to operating in an environmentally responsible fashion by using our resources intelligently and continually pursuing ways to reduce our energy and fleet consumption and enhance our waste management and recycling efforts. Some of Vallen’s strategic environmental initiatives focus on reducing fleet consumption, energy usage, and waste volumes in our buildings, and evaluating renewable energy resources. In turn, this reduces our greenhouse gas emissions and carbon footprint. We are proud of our ongoing commitment to enhancing our sustainability efforts while also strengthening our relationships with various stakeholders.
