VIS Process Centers: Game-Changing Efficiency
Our acquisition of Wesco Integrated Supply brought their Process Center model of service to Vallen. Now, with our teams fully integrated, the Process Centers spearhead Vallen’s global procurement and buying operations, creating efficiency and streamlined processes across multiple locations. With over 150 personnel in five key processing centers worldwide—Uniondale, NY; Montreal, CA; Monterrey, MX; Warrington, UK; and Rzeszow, Poland—our dedicated teams process more than one million lines annually, with approximately 95% of transactions occurring through the PC framework.
Operational Efficiency and Support
Our process optimization includes handling functions such as Spot Buying, Replenishment, Rush Orders, and Warehouse Inventory. This centralization bolsters efficiency—enabling our buyers to process 2-4 times more than traditional onsite buyers—and enhances our service offerings. Our buyers are dedicated to procurement without distractions, allowing for quick decision-making and resolving discrepancies in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
Key activities performed at our PCs include:
- Order Routing: Orders are electronically directed to sourcing teams and buyers, ensuring timely and effective operations.
- KPI Management: We monitor vital performance indicators by customer and site, focusing on On-Time Delivery, Turnaround Times, Aged Orders, and Line Processing efficiency.
- Sourcing Support: Our sourcing teams provide tactical strategies, including cost-saving initiatives, catalog cross-referencing, and supplier negotiation to enhance procurement.
- Implementation Assistance: New account setups, item planning, pre-sourcing, and logistics support are integral to our services, ensuring seamless integration into client operations.
